The software here aviable are the spinoff of our research about Machine Learning and Facial Image analisys. Our code is distributed under the GPL license.

The software is developped programing in Python, Pyrex and some other GPL libraries.

Most of the code is developped under GNU/Linux but it is largely Windows Portable (not yet distributed).

A fast portable image processing module for python, written in Pyrex. Including:

• Generic Filtering

• Local complexity estimation

• Centroid calculation

• Color calibration

• Morphological operations

• and more.

Actual Release : 25/12/02 pdi_lib-0.8.1.tar.gz (major version, minor version, release version)

Pdilib require:

• Python 2.2
• Numeric
• Pyrex (and a C compiler)

The main objective are:

• allow to python devellopers to use a true matrix processing system.
• allow the scilab users to use they function in other contexts.
• to have a true pythonic interface.

The aviables methods are:

• init an scilab session
• create matrix, vectors, numbers
• allow pythonic scilab code calls
• allow pythonic scilab data retreival

PyScilab require:

• Python 2.2
• Numeric
• Pyrex (and a C compiler)
• Scilab 2.7 source distribution (and a C compiler)
• Patience and perseverance for the installation.

This script is supposed to implement Matlab functions that were left out in MLab.py (part of Numeric Python).

This is the first release of us implentation of FastIca for python.

Actual release: 01/07/03 IcaPy release 1 Consider the code in alpha state.

We also use

• Pyrex (fast routines for python)
• libSVM (Support Vector Machine for python)
• Jkpyreg (image registration for python, (fitting by warping))
• Leo (outlining editor)

Soon we will release:

• A cross platform video input python module. (PyVideo)

• An ICA module for Scilab
